The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It was formed by sediment deposited by the Mekong River, a process which continues today; silt deposits extend the delta?s shoreline at the mouths of the river by as much as 79 metres per year. The land of the Mekong Delta is renowned for its richness, producing enough rice to feed the south and central parts of the country as well as some of the north. Other food products from the delta include coconut, sugar cane, various fruits and fish. The Mekong River, one of the great rivers of the world, is known to the Vietnamese as Song Cuu Long , River of the Nine Dragons. The Mekong Delta was once part of the Khmer kingdom, most of the inhabitants are ethnic-Vietnamese, but there are significant populations of ethnic-Chinese and Khmer as well as a few Chams.

The Angkorian empire that ruled Cambodia until the 14th century left an indelible mark on the culture and beliefs of the country. Our ‘Culture and Cuisine’ tour takes you on an insightful journey to explore the legacies of a bygone era as well as the modern glory of Cambodia. With expert guides, exotic cuisine, and luxurious hotels you will be amazed at the, often unexpected, wonders along the way
